Ishan Chellaney - President & CEO

Ishan Chellaney is a senior at Cornell University, majoring in Economics with minors in Law & Society and International Relations. As an expatriate, he has lived in France, Turkey, India, and Italy. He spent his last summer working at the Corporate & Investment Banking division of BNP Paribas. His past experiences include interning at the World Bank, where he dealt with private sector participation in infrastructure, and working at the United Nations with the International Fund for Agricultural Development in Rome, Italy. Ishan is also the Director of Finance for CHC Hospitality Consultants, a student-run, for-profit consulting firm, and serves on the executive board of the College of Arts & Sciences Peer Advising Program. From 2007-2008, he was an elected representative of Cornell University's Residential Student Congress. In his spare time, Ishan enjoys long-distance running, writing fiction, and globe-trotting.

Carlo Lutz - Vice President, Internal

Carlo Lutz is a senior Sociology major at Cornell University from New York City. He will be attending Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Fall 2011. He is also minoring in Inequality Studies, and in Feminist, Gender and Sexuality Studies. He is interested in the role of globalization and development in growing global inequality and its effect on health and education outcomes in the Third World. He is also studying the dynamics of contemporary progressive movements to understand how change is being fought for in America. Carlo plans on practicing medicine for 15-20 years before entering the public sector.

Alisha Gulamani - Vice President, External

Alisha Gulamani is a junior at Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration. She is currently the VP of Organizational Affairs of Hotelie Entrepreneurs, and serves as a consultant to the DrivingRevenue.Travel marketing website. Her interests include cross country running, sailing, hotel development and international development.

Sandhya Malhotra - Director of Marketing

Sandhya Malhotra is a senior at Cornell University, majoring in hotel administration. She has a keen interest in hospitality marketing and food and beverage operations. She has worked with a wide variety of hotels and restaurants and will be interning at HVS with its Marketing & Communications team in India. Prior to this, she has worked with the Myriad Restaurant Group in New York City. In her free time, Sandhya enjoys traveling, dancing, and is a culinary enthusiast.

Olufunmilayo Agunloye - Treasurer

Olufunmilayo Agunloye is a junior at Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, majoring in Her Biology with a minor in Global Health. She is interested in the study of infectious diseases that plague global health, but also seeks to recognize how global health issues can be addressed on a sociological level. After Cornell, she hopes to go on to medical school or graduate school for biological sciences. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running and dancing with Body By Africa, the COAS African dance troupe.

Froilan Malit - Former President (2009-mid 2010)

Froilan Malit is a senior at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations and is studying government, global migration and international development. Froilan spent much of his childhood working for land and farm owners in the Philippines. In 2008, he was as an associate in the Department of Labor in Ithaca, New York, and also served as a paralegal intern with Bruce Gitlin P.C. in New York City. In addition, Froilan conducted his senior thesis fieldwork in conjunction with various non-governmental organizations in Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica and the Philippines. In his spare time, Froilan enjoys volleyball, running, badminton, rock climbing, and painting.
